When I thought about restructuring the website, I became keenly aware of how difficult it would be to categorize mental health resources. I intended to cover some broad territory but also keep things manageable. The one bias I brought to the project was underlying many mental and emotional issues is a lack of mental hygiene.

I strongly recommend you watch Psychologist Guy Winch’s talk “How to practice emotional hygiene.” It’s worth the 17 minutes it takes to watch!

Depending on why and how you ended up here, it’s a great place to start.

Bear in mind that mental and emotional issues often overlap. In clinical terms, that’s often referred to as a continuum or spectrum. Be curious and not too limited in your searches and research.
