Not My Kid

The first few minutes of this video are very tough to watch. In fact, you may be tempted to fast forward and that’s okay. One of the points the video is how easy it is to think “not my kid” and therefore miss the warning signs. About three minutes in, there is a structured dialog with some parents who have questions about teenage suicide.  The hosts keep things simple in an effort to help parents recognize some of the warning signs a child is perhaps suffering emotionally and entertaining suicidal thoughts. You’ll want to remember the acronym FACTS.
